TripCreator, a Reykjavík, Iceland-based provider of trip-planning solutions, secured m in funding.

Led by Hilmar Halldórsson, CEO, TripCreator provides planning, management and analysis of complex leisure and business trip itineraries. Designed to meet the specific needs of travel professionals, the platform provides white-label as well as branded solutions that can integrate with existing platforms through dedicated APIs. Using a combination of machine learning and data-driven analytics, itineraries can be shared, modified and integrated into popular services such as Booking.com, Priceline.com and many others.

The company has already begun work with worldwide travel agencies, including Tumlare (part of JTB Corporation, one of the largest DMCs in the world), Grayline Iceland and WOW® Airlines.

Its mobile apps on iOS™ and Android® will enable travelers to update their plans in real time (and space), including online/offline customer trips, driving/walking/cycling directions and travel documents. An upcoming version 2.0 of the app enabling planning functionality with real-time suggestions will be available starting in October.
