  Lifestyle diva Bonnie Gokson is extending her charming café-bar brand ‘C"est La B’ to Pacific Place.

  The "Small is Beautiful" commissary purveying Hong Kong’s most talked-about cakes, desserts and savouries is opening at Shop 202 on Level 2 Pacific Place today.

  It follows the success of her flagship “hole-in-the-wall” venue at 110-114 Tung Lo Wan Road, Tai Hang above Causeway Bay.

  The new outlet continues the new café-bar brand’s winning concept hinting at the celebrity style icon’s name – borrowing the French phrase for “c’est la vie” (“such is life”). C"est La B reflects the same stylish yet whimsical philosophy of its creator – the founder of fashionable penthouse restaurant SEVVA and more recently Ms B"s CAKERY.

  Brightly-coloured butterfly designs flutter like precious gems against a backdrop of dark charcoal interiors and black and white-striped floors to provoke a “feeling of humour and fun”. Another amusing signature is mismatched crockery. Each C’est La B will have its unique defining characteristic and for Pacific Place, Bonnie Gokson has commissioned a piece of art from Paris that utilises the café’s signature motif, butterflies, as inspiration. As always, Bonnie Gokson ties in with all aspects of a chic lifestyle by mixing food, drink and art into an impeccable experience.

  Over 30 signature desserts and hot cakes with savoury pot pies, salads, pastas and sandwiches feature daily on the menu, served with special teas and coffees, wine and champagne. In addition, afternoon tea sets will be on offer to provide another wow experience for fans of C’est La B.

  As well as the "crème de la crème’ of creative cakes - baked fresh at Ms B’s CAKERY in Gough Street, Central - daily specials include decadent desserts made popular at SEVVA, from the chocolate lovers’ Heaven Can Wait to Panna Cotta & Fairy Dust Crunch and Moonstruck’d mango mousse that is “so yummy we had to put it in a cup”.

  A selection of "potted gems" includes Double Choc A L’Orange and Double Choc Peppermint. Also available is a gluten-free dessert - Citrus Mess of lemon curd and fluffy meringue with freshly whipped cream.

  “It’s a cosy, charming café-bar for chilling-out, enjoying delectable desserts and savoury snacks, or collecting takeaways for parties at home,” says Ms Gokson. “Our cheerful concept embraces fun, colour, humour and life.”
