Argyle Hotel Group (Australia) and Jiangxi Province Tourism Group have entered into a Joint Venture (JV) to spearhead the province’s strategic tourism agenda.

Argyle Hotel Group (Australia) and Jiangxi Province Tourism Group have entered into a Joint Venture (JV) to spearhead the province’s strategic tourism agenda.

The first 5-year stage of the deal will result in an addition of c.4,200 new hotel rooms to the province across 40 Ausotel hotels.

According to Argyle’s China CEO, Kevin Zhang, “There is no ‘one-size fits all’ when designing tourism solutions on a provincial scale. I believe Argyle’s success can be attributed to our collaborative strategic portfolio approach.”

Jiangxi Tourism Group Chairman, Mr. Shaoxiong Zeng said “We are delighted to have partnered with Argyle Hotel Group. Not only do they bring the highest international standards but also a deep understanding of the China market.” Argyle Hotel Group (Australia) celebrates 10 years in China this year.

Argyle Hotel Group launched Ausotel SMART, a new upper-midscale brand late last year. Argyle’s General Manager in charge of the Ausotel brand, Jeff Zhang, said “the Ausotel SMART brand has received a tremendous amount of interest in the short time since its launch. It is a perfect marriage for Jiangxi and will feature prominently in their new portfolio alongside well established 4 and 5 star brands such as Argyle Hotel and Argyle Grand.”

According to the agreement, Jiangxi Tourism Group will also vend into the deal the province’s existing 4 upscale hotels representing over 1000 rooms. These are to be rebranded and managed under Argyle Hotel Group’s banners.

The signing ceremony, which was held in Jiangxi’s capital Nanchang, was attended by Austrade Chief representative, Mr. Leo Shaw along with senior delegates from the Jiangxi Provincial government.
